Welcome to
CrossCity Kids!

At CrossCity, we believe that childhood is an ideal time to discover and experience Jesus and His love. From the time that a child enters the nursery through the time that they move up to Junior High, children will learn to “Love God, Love Others, and Serve the World” while engaging in meaningful relationships, growing in Christ, and serving others. Come visit us in our fun, family-friendly facilities during our weekend services. We are honored to partner with you as your child journeys through the Children’s Ministry.

First time guest

Our First Time Guest Check-in kiosk is located in the foyer of the Kids Building. If you have a child under 3 years of age, you can check them in at the Nursery desk in the Worship Building. One of our Children’s Greeters will check you in at a computer, get your nametags/parent ID tags, and escort you to the proper group environment. All of our leaders are background checked, interviewed, and are excited to share Jesus with your family.

Weekend at a glance

What happens at CrossCity Kids? A whole lot of fun and a whole lot of God! We are challenging kids every weekend to trust God, make wise choices, and build lasting friendships. During our Saturday night gatherings, we offer Birth - Preschool ministries. On Sunday mornings, we offer Birth - 6th ministries during all 3 of our gathering times. Here is what a typical weekend service at CrossCity Kids looks like:

welcome:

Kids are greeted in their classrooms/meeting areas by their small group leaders. They usually participate in a fun activity related to the one truth we want them to walk away with and remember that day.

large group environment:

Shortly after arriving, kids will gather for Large Group Time where they will worship together with music, a Bible story and prayer. This a time for all the kids to hear from God, worship Him, and have lots of fun! We incorporate lots of props, action, and energy into Large Group Time.

small group environment:

After Large Group, kids travel back to their small group classrooms/meeting areas with their leaders. This is a time when their group leader helps them understand where the bottom line truth they have learned fits into their everyday life. Our leaders are serious about having fun with the kids and teaching the TRUTH. We want kids to see how God’s Word fits in their everyday lives, how they can trust and talk to Him, and how they can have a relationship with Him through Jesus. We want kids to build friendships and get connected with other kids and their leaders, so we create environments and activities for this to happen.

Curriculum:

We believe more in strategy rather than curriculum. There are key things a child needs to learn–age-specific core concepts, principles, and experiences to have a real, growing, and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
We use a strategy that focuses on Three Basic Truths:

Preschool:
1. God LOVES Me.
2. God MADE Me.
3. Jesus wants to be my FRIEND forever. (Based on Deuteronomy 6)

Elementary:
1. Wisdom: I need to make the wise choice.
2. Faith: I can trust God no matter what.
3. Friendship: I should treat others the way I want to be treated. (Based on Luke 2:52)

The Three Basic Truths are amplified through 36 virtues we find in Scripture (such as generosity, kindness, faith…) and 150 Bible Stories.
